They invite you to select a driven vehicle according to your requirement and wish. To Make a Reservation you will need to:

• A Sri Lankan or International driving license

Collecting your car

• You will be asked to present your driving license and credit card.
• Further identification, such as a passport, may also be required.
• You will be given a Rental Agreement to check and sign. This will show any
additional services you have asked for along with the relevant costs.
• You will be asked to check the car for any damage and sign to confirm this.
This helps us to assess whether any damage occurs during your rental.
• You will then be given the keys together with a copy of the Rental Agreement.
• Petrol (Gasoline) may not be always easily accessible as overseas especially if you visit remote locations in the interior of the country. Therefore, it is advisable to keep the petrol tank topped up and not let it run below the half way mark.
• Please be sure to adjust the seating position, rear view mirrors etc to your required position before moving off.
• Brake lightly a few times to gauge the braking distance, effectiveness of the brakes. If your vehicle is not equipped with ABS (Anti-locking Braking System) ensure that wheel lock doesn’t occur during hard braking.
• If your car is equipped with child seats, make sure that such seats are properly harnessed and children using them are properly belted facing the correct direction.
• Always apply the handbrake after parking the vehicle and put the transmission in gear (manual) or in the park position (automatic transmission) to prevent any creeping of the wheels.
• Please ensure that the vehicle is always locked when parked to prevent theft of any valuables in the car. Take simple measures to prevent unwanted attention being drawn to the vehicle such as not leaving valuables on the seats.

Driving tips for visitors to Sri-Lanka


1. Make sure that you have a valid driver’s license and that your vehicle is adequately insured.
2. Although not mandatory, always wear your seatbelts for safety.
3. Do not use a mobile phone without a hands-free or Blue-Tooth kit when on the road. It is a punishable offence to handle a mobile phone with your hands while driving.
4. Headlamp flashing – means make way for me!
5. Three wheelers / Buses / Motor Cyclists / Cyclists – the majority of these do not have proper working indicator lights on their vehicles. Be prepared to make sudden stops, swerves etc.
6. Parking – parking on most pavement areas in Colombo is prohibited. Please use designated parking areas.
7. Give way to vehicles approaching from your right at intersections and roundabouts.
8. Toot your horn to gain attention, caution other road users.

You posted many car places on here, but what about motorcycles. Can we rent those in Sri Lanka as well? My fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon in August and would love to see all the sights, but would be more interested in renting a motorcycle, or a convertible, something with us able to feel the open air.
