The Colony is the last house on the Matara road before the pleasant market town of Tangalle set on a small rise directly overlook the indian ocean. The house is a much converted and extended British period bungalow. it has been completely rstored and now resembles a typical Black and White' as built throughout Asia in the early 20th century. A haven of luxuriously appointed rooms that brings back memories of yesteryear, when living was a more serene and peaceful existence. beautifully crafted local furniture, paintings and other antiques make it a genuine refuge for the weary traveller. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with the accent on feeling very much at home.
